My name is Matthew Hinds, and I am a Copenhagen based artist with roots in London and Brooklyn. I belong to to the FUKK art collective (Forenede Uafhængige Københavnske Kunstnere) in Nordhavn.

Despite my background as a trained historian, for a long time, I was left feeling mute, struggling to make sense of the anxious age in which we live. Then something unexpected yet deeply familiar happened when I began to put paint to paper. By immersing myself in visual art, on a personal level, I gained a missing language that had previously been beyond reach.
